Despite the challenges and differences, New Yorkers show resilience, care, and solidarity for one another, especially in troubled times.\ \ The project is Brandon Stanton\'92s artistic attempt to showcase New York City through its people, using Grand Central Station as the canvas. More than one thousand contributors helped bring this immersive installation to life. It is the most complete artistic transformation of Grand Central in its 117-year history, replacing every inch of advertising with art.\ \ The immersive experience includes:\ - Main Concourse: Projection of intimate stories and portraits from Humans of New York.\ - Subway: The largest and most customized vinyl installation ever done in the subway system.\ - Vanderbilt Hall: A unified exhibition combining photography from ten professional NYC photographers and over 600 schoolchildren, prompted to photograph and write about impactful people in their communities.\ - The Wedding: A special event honoring life and love during the exhibition.\ \ The installation runs twenty-two hours per day and features live music by Juilliard-trained pianists playing a Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano. It represents a first-time complete clearing of advertising throughout Grand Central.\ \ The project is a partnership among Brandon Stanton, Pentagram, Korins Studio, Juilliard, NYC Public Schools, MTA, and others. The exhibition highlights New York\'92s diversity and humanity and serves as a love letter to the city, funded by the book "Dear New York," whose royalties benefit NYC charities.\ \ The credits include hundreds of artists, production teams, advisors, and community contributors who made this monumental work possible.\ \ Dear New York embodies resilience, creativity, and unity amid complexity and diversity, showcasing the heart of a city and its people.\ }
